How We Got Here
Background
Our team has worked in the mortgage industry for generations. In 2018, on the heels of new legislation governing Canada's prime mortgage market, the needs of alternative mortgage lenders changed. What started as a small operation buying tranches of mortgage pools has since grown into a robust advisory and capital introduction arm servicing some of Canada's largest and most prestigious non-bank lenders.
Thesis
We believe that Canada's alternative mortgage market will grow at an unprecedented rate through the remainder of this decade. This organic need for more capital presents unique opportunities for both non-bank lenders and their investors.
Our goal is drive further institutional and bespoke investment into the space on an ongoing basis through the use of SPVs and various structured vehicles. These vehicles represented outsized yield and lower risk than traditional mortgage investment.
